How to Identify Location Based Risk of Insured Clients?

Tracking risks at the locations of your customer for insurance requirements can be difficult. There are standard sources from government data to policy and fire department data, but how can you easily identify the risks that do not get correlated into standard databases?

If you are about to insure a retail chain of 200 locations, how can you can you automatically track the location based risks of those 200 retail stores in the past month Or past 6 months? Are there unknown risks such as constant flooding around a particular area you do not know about, or power outages every week in one particular city or shooting within a¼ mile radius of some of those retail locations? Different locations? have a variety of risks that can change frequently or to which there is no visibility.
How can you determine location risk?

Risk is of course determined by applicable insurance laws. These help determine the premiums but are you truly getting visibility into all the risks in a particular location? Can you automatically know when an insured client has been impacted by a disaster locally or globally and be prepared to activate insurance processes rather than be caught off guard and have to operate in crisis mode?
